We did it!
Thanks to our incredible community of supporters, we surpassed the $50,000 end of year matching grant challenge made possible by the Helen Van Sickle Fund and an anonymous donor.
Between December 21st, when the challenge was announced, and December 31st, 160 donors contributed more than $145,000 to improve the lives of those living with chordoma and lead the search for a cure. These funds will help ensure progress continues to accelerate and patients and families around the world receive the services and support they need.
We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who joined with us to end 2017 on such a positive note and to start 2018 with our foot on the gas! There is nothing better than seeing our community come together.
As we celebrate the progress made in 2017, we also honor the memory of those we have lost by remaining steadfast in our efforts to bring better treatments to patients in a matter of years, not decades.
To see the impact of your support, read our 2017 Year in Review. And stay tuned for information about the work you’re making possible in 2018, including:
- Updates from several ongoing clinical trials, which could pave the way for the first drug approval in chordoma
- Investments in brachyury drug discovery and immunotherapy research
- Launch of Chordoma Connections, the first online community designed specifically for chordoma patients and family members
From all of us at the Chordoma Foundation, thank you for helping to improve the lives of those affected by chordoma and lead the search for a cure!
