The Chordoma Foundation partners with investigators and companies who have the expertise and resources to carry out each element of our research roadmap. We proactively invest in projects that advance this plan with grants and contracts typically ranging from $10,000 to $100,000. Investigators interested in working with the Foundation on any aspect of the research roadmap should email to inquire about funding opportunities.
In addition, the following funding opportunities are currently available from the Chordoma Foundation:
Investigator Initiated Grants
The Chordoma Foundation is offering peer-reviewed seed grants to support investigator-initiated research projects that will advance the development of effective treatments for chordoma. These one to two year grants are intended to enable investigators to start projects, test hypotheses, or generate preliminary data that could help leverage additional funding sources and lead to sustained chordoma research programs. Grants of up to $25,000 will be awarded for a one year period, with the possible option for non-competitive renewal for a second year depending on availability of funding.

Co-funded grants with the Liddy Shriver Sarcoma Initiative
The Liddy Shriver Sarcoma Initiative funds research that is targeted at finding more effective treatments for sarcomas. Since Chordoma is one many sarcoma subtypes, the Chordoma Foundation has partnered with the Liddy Shriver Sarcoma Initiative to co-fund chordoma research grants. To apply for a co-funded grant, investigators should submit an application to the Liddy Shriver Sarcoma Initiative. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis (there is no application deadline). All chordoma-related grants that are recommended for funding by Liddy Shriver Sarcoma Initiative reviewers will be forwarded to the Chordoma Foundation Board of Directors to be considered for co-funding. Co-funding decisions will be made based on the availability of funds and the project’s relevance to the Chordoma Foundation research roadmap.
