Chordoma Foundation

Research Initiatives

We proactively initiate, fund and coordinate research projects that advance our research roadmap. Explore the initiatives below to learn what we are doing to accelerate the search for a cure.

Biobank

A centralized repository of tumor tissue, blood and clinical data donated by chordoma patients to enable research

Cell Line Repository

A collection of validated cell lines available to the research community

Model Development

Creating new cell lines, xenografts and transgenic animal models needed for research

Chordoma Genome Project

Systematically uncovering all of the genetic changes that drive chordoma to identify rational therapeutic targets

Drug Screening

Testing whether any drugs on the market could be effective treatments for chordoma

Cell Line Prize

Encourages and incentivizes the development of new chordoma cell lines

Seed Grants

Peer-reviewed grants to enable researchers to test hypotheses and start projects that advance the development of new treatments
